Description

Avec le CSS et le HTML, le Javascript constitue le 3ème langage essentiel en front-end. Créé en 1995 par Brendan Eich, Javascript a été standardisé sous le nom d'ECMAScript.

ECMAScript connaît 3 implémentations : celles de Mozilla (à l'origine du navigateur Firefox), celle de Microsoft sous le nom de JScript, et celle d'Adobe Systems, sous le nom d'ActionScript.

Là où CSS permet de définir le style d'une page web, Javascript est un langage très puissant, permettant de rendre les pages web interractives. Javscript est également utilisé pour un grand nombre d'applications web.
